José Mourinho is a Portuguese professional football manager, considered to be one of the greatest and most decorated managers ever, winning 25 senior trophies, including 4-times winner of World’s Best Club Coach. He has won a domestic title in a record four different countries (Portugal, England, Italy and Spain). Mourinho is also one of only three managers to have ever won the UEFA Champions League twice with two clubs, FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.
José Mourinho started his career as midfield player, but quickly decided to enter the management sphere starting as interpreter. Benfica SL and União de Leiria were the first teams he managed. He continued his successful career at FC Porto; the first team he won the national league and the UEFA Champions League with. Following his first years in Portugal, José moved to England, where he won two consecutive national titles with Chelsea.
He continued his career in Italy, where he won his second UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan, along with two national championships with the same club. After two years, he signed with Real Madrid, where he spent three season winning all the most important trophies – Spanish league, cup and super cup. Following that period, he returned to Chelsea and won the Premier League for the third time, later moving to Manchester United. Since November 2019, José Mourinho has been working as a head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.
José is married and has two children – daughter Mathilda and son José Jr.
